April has been an incredible month filled with both joy and reflection. It began with the celebration of our family friend's hundredth birthday, a remarkable milestone that reminded us of the beauty and blessings of a long life.
However, amidst the joy, we also experienced the passing of another dear friend who had made a significant impact on her community.
In addition to these emotional moments, I had to bid farewell to my agent who has decided to retire. Their retirement is well-deserved, but it also made me realize the unique relationship between an artist and their agent. It is a partnership built on trust and shared goals, and I am grateful for the opportunities they have brought my way, and looking forward to building my new relationship with my new agent , which I feel very blessed to have so soon.
During this month, I also embarked on a new adventure of decorating my house by myself. It was a challenge I had never taken on before, but the experience was incredibly rewarding. It taught me the value of creativity and the satisfaction of bringing my vision to life.
A huge thank you to all the DIY women out there and Seagulls workshop on Kirkstall road for the decorating course .
And then, in an unexpected turn of events, I received my first-ever “Oscar.”. A kind reminder in the form of feedback from a job I had done. It served as a gentle nudge to remember my worth and the impact I can make through my words and actions. It reminded me that even on the days when things may not be going as planned, I am still making a difference.
But it wasn't just the big moments that made April special. It was also the little things, like watching my tulips blossom for the first time. Planting those bulbs was a simple act, but seeing the vibrant colours emerge brought a sense of joy and fulfillment.
As I near my 50th trip around the sun, I reflected on the journey so far with growth, challenges, and new beginnings.
So today, I want to extend that reminder to you as well. You are MAGNIFICENT . You are an integral part of the universe, connected to the stardust that surrounds us all. Every word you speak, whether to yourself or to others, has the power to make a difference. Even when things may not be going your way, remember that you are leaving an imprint on the world.
April has been a month of highs and lows, of celebrations and reflections. It has taught me to cherish life's milestones, embrace new challenges, and find beauty in the simplest of moments. As we move forward through the year let us carry these lessons with us and continue to make a difference in our own unique ways.
